The S-Series page scanner is optimised for forms processing environments with standard or similar-sized documents. When combined with BancTec’s eFIRST product suite, the S-Series provides a turnkey solution that delivers immediate results. The S-Series also complements BancTec’s ultra high-speed DocuScan 9000, which was created for demanding mixed document and multi-application processing environments. Hundreds of S-Series scanners currently are in production at customer sites worldwide.
With input from our users and partners, BancTec has made continuous improvements in several key elements of the S-Series, reinforcing the scanner’s strong industry position. Recent improvements include; improved auto-feeder for durable 24 hour use, configurable sorting capabilities and easier access to electronic components for shorter downtimes.
The enhanced S-Series scanner also incorporates the latest optics technology in its camera subsystems, eliminating image variations from page to page, and in turn, improving OCR rates and reducing OCR errors. The enhanced optics camera subsystems deliver 20 percent fewer OCR error rates, strengthening the S-Series scanner’s best-in-class image and OCR quality.
