BancTec provides image quality assurance (IQA) as a seamless component of our IntelliScan high-speed document scanners  — they notify the operator about image quality issues at scan time while the documents are still in hand and the transport can be stopped. A decision about what to do with the faulty image can be made much more quickly because the alerts appear in-stream.

In addition to in-process alerts, BancTec’s IQA capabilities include the ability to seamlessly integrate flagged files into its post-scan quality assurance solution: Image SentryTM. This solution allows organisations to assess, verify, correct and manage images in distributed capture environments.

The real-time nature of our IQA solution allows companies to define how they want to handle suspect images, whether post-scan or during the process. With the productivity-friendly ability to feed suspect files to a stand-alone workstation while scanning continues, then the ability to accept, reject or make adjustments to the images, we significantly improve image quality without impacting upon scanning production.
