BancTec Awarded Agreement to Supply Specialist Solutions Across Public Sector

BancTec has been awarded a framework agreement by OGCbuying.solutions, having been successful during an EU compliant competitive procurement process. The company was selected under the new Specialist Solutions, Catalist framework agreement to supply e-transactional services and electronic document and records management (EDRM) solutions and shared services.
The new framework allows customers throughout the public sector to place orders with BancTec under standard terms and conditions of the agreement. Launched in May, this new framework will replace elements of existing frameworks including G-Cat, S-Cat, GTC and GTM, when they expire.
Commenting on the framework selection, Steve Downey, Chief Operations Officer at BancTec stated, “This award is a significant achievement for BancTec and will enable us to meet our strategic growth objectives within the public sector. BancTec have developed our own product set, and under the new framework, we will now be able to provide highly competitive document and transaction processing solutions directly to the public sector to help meet initiatives such as Transformational Government.”Â?
The BancTec range of government solutions are based around its own eFIRST product set. These solutions include; case and asset management, forms and invoice processing, mailroom automation, payment processing and mobile data capture solutions. Many of these solutions have already been used in the public sector to provide the core technologies for applications at a number of government organisations including; the Criminal Records Bureau (CRB), the Security Industry Authority (SIA), the National Archives, New Charter Housing Association, ETS, ACAS and Post Office Counters.
