BancTec Item Processing Transport Owners Now Have Extended Application Options

BancTec, a leading provider of document management solutions and services, and Silver Bullet Technology, Inc., a provider of item processing software and solutions, today announced the release of RangerTM interface for BancTec’s X-Series multi-functional item processing transport. Silver Bullet’s Ranger interface will allow users of a wide variety of check processing applications to run on BancTec’s X-Series transport.

BancTec’s X-Series is a multi-functional transport for check and remittance processing, using one or two-pass applications. It is designed for companies that process high check volumes at speeds of 350 or 600 items per minute. By placing the Ranger interface on BancTec’s X-Series transport, users have the benefit of accessing a broader selection of equipment to run on their applications.
Through the release of Ranger for BancTec’s X-Series, Silver Bullet continues to bring greater efficiency to the financial services development environment. The Ranger Transport API, Silver Bullet’s flagship product, is a software tool that allows item-processing applications to run unchanged on virtually every transport type. Silver Bullet’s latest Ranger release brings BancTec sorters into its stable of "Ranger Compatible" transport and check scanners.
